Will you proclaim the three angels’ messages?

Hello friends. For some time, the word “unprecedented” has been used to describe recent events, and with good reason. Never have such earth-shattering events converged in such a short time, affecting almost every aspect of life so quickly and dramatically. People sense that we are about to experience something prodigious, and fear and uncertainty are everywhere.

The time is now more ripe than ever for Seventh-day Adventists to proclaim with Holy Spirit-inspired boldness the three angels’ messages contained in Revelation 14. There is no work of such importance, we are told, than to proclaim this “warning for a perishing world.”

This coming week, November 6-13, is our worldwide week of prayer. During this special week, through readings found in the special November issue of Adventist World magazine, Seventh-day Adventists around the world will dive deep into these very important messages. You can be part of this global event by downloading a free copy of this magazine from adventistworld.org and following the daily readings.

In each age, God has entrusted his people with a special mission. And while the details of how to carry out this mission may vary, the ultimate goal is always the same: to bring people into a saving relationship with God that will last for eternity.

Over 2,500 years ago, God called a young man to an important mission that will not only last his lifetime, but will extend through the ages to our own time and beyond. Standing fearlessly in the courts of kings, Daniel was a shining light as he ministered to those at the highest levels, while standing in the presence of the King of kings who “reveals secrets” and “makes known what shall be in the last days” (see Daniel 2:29).

These prophecies, especially those concerning the last days, are identified in Revelation 10 as a “little book”, sealed until the time of the end. It is said to John: “Go, take the little book that is open… take it and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth” (Rev. 10: 8.9).

Here, John represents the people of God who experienced the great disappointment in 1844. The open book is the book of Daniel, containing the 2,300-year-old prophecy concerning the cleansing of the sanctuary and the coming investigative judgment.

Believing that Jesus was about to come was sweet for Adventist believers, but when Christ did not appear as expected, it was a bitter disappointment. Having preached the message of Jesus’ return, their work was not yet finished. There was another message which, in God’s plan, was to be given to the whole world. This message, divided into three parts, is described in Revelation 14:6-12 and is known as the three angels’ messages.

The Spirit of Prophecy tells us that the first and second messages were given by early Adventist believers. The third message would be added to the first two and would be given just before Jesus returns. The combination of these three messages would be God’s final call to this world.

Our mission as the remnant Church of God is made abundantly clear by Inspiration: to them who have been entrusted with the last warning for a perishing world. to shine a marvelous light from the word of God. They have been given a work of most solemn importance – the proclamation of the messages of the first, second and third angels. “there is no other work of so great importance. They must permit nothing else to absorb their attention… The world must be warned, and the people of God must be faithful to the trust entrusted to them ” (9T 19).

Since God has entrusted us with the task of proclaiming these messages to the world, how important it is that we understand the messages and how important it is to share them. That is why I encourage you to come together in your homes – or in our schools or churches – to participate in this special week of prayer, where we will focus on the three angels’ messages and pray for revival and reformation in our hearts. that only the Spirit of God can accomplish.

We are told that as the conflict between truth and error escalates and the end draws near, a purge will take place in God’s Church. Those who cling to their Savior and refuse to let go of the truths contained in the three angels’ messages realize that they must, in God’s strength, continue His mission, leaving the results to Him. Their faces will be “lit up, hastening from place to place to proclaim the message from heaven… The message will be carried not so much by argument as by the deep conviction of the Spirit of God… the truth is seen in its clarity, and the honest children of God sever the bands that bound them… Despite the combined agencies against the truth, many take their stand on the side of the Lord” (GC 612).

Brothers and sisters, what we are experiencing today is a wake-up call, urging us to turn to the Word of God and be ready for what is to come. Only by relying completely on Jesus and on the power of the Holy Spirit can we accomplish anything! God is preparing us for the outpouring of the latter rain, enabling us to proclaim with a loud voice the life-giving messages of the three angels.

Now is the time to study these messages, to pray with an open heart to God’s direction, and to commit ourselves fully into His hands, saying, “I will go forth and proclaim the three angels’ messages!”

My friends, once again I encourage you to participate in the upcoming Global Week of Prayer and download your free copy of the special Week of Prayer readings from adventistworld.org.

May the Lord bless you in a special way as you spend time with Him during this Global Week of Prayer.

Let’s pray together. Heavenly Father, thank you for the word of God. Thank you for the prophetic messages, given to help us know how to approach the days in which we live. We thank you that with the promise of Jesus’ soon return comes the promise that you will be with us until the end of time, no matter what we have to go through. We rely entirely on you. Now bless each brother, each sister, each family, as they study the week of prayer readings and understand more fully the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12 and how each of our church members registered in this great plan of sharing this message. Lord, give each of us the power to say to you by the power of the Holy Spirit: “Yes Lord, I will go and proclaim this wonderful message!”. Please Lord, come quickly. Thank you for hearing us in this prayer. In the name of Jesus, we ask it, amen.
