These complaints have been reported worldwide and not just in India.

“Is WhatsApp down?” It’s a question thousands of people have been asking on various social media platforms since Tuesday, October 25 just after noon. The popular Meta-owned instant communication app is facing an outage, which is preventing users from sending or receiving messages. While several users say they are unable to send and receive messages on group chats alone, most users have complained about a blackout. Meanwhile, outage detection website Downdetector has also confirmed that WhatsApp is down for several users from many locations. This also includes major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Bengaluru. However, these complaints have been reported worldwide and not just in India.

The outage became a topic of discussion on Twitter, which seems to be the platform where everyone learned they weren’t the only one facing the problem.

This is a developing story.
