Russell Westbrook posts Bible verse after lackluster performance

Russell Westbrook has experienced it over the past year. As soon as he started playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, it became clear he didn’t fit in with the rest of the roster. Unfortunately, things never improved for Westbrook, who struggled throughout the season.

Last night, Westbrook played a preseason game with the rest of the Lakers starting lineup, and once again he was lackluster. He only managed five points and even disrespected the Lakers huddle twice. It was an abysmal performance from the playmaker, and fans are wondering how long Westbrook really has left with the team.

After the game, Russ decided to react to what happened in his own way. As you can see in the tweet below, Russ took to his IG story where he simply wrote “1 Peter 5:8”. If you were to google this bible verse, you would see that it basically means that you should be mindful of your enemies because they are always trying to see you fail.

It’s an interesting way to look at it, especially since most Lakers fans would prefer Russ to play well. For now, however, it seems disjointed and things don’t seem to be getting better.
