Resident-elect, Republic of Kenya, William Ruto took to Twitter to quote a popular Bible verse after winning the Kenyan presidential election.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Ruto has been declared the winner of the Kenyan presidential election by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) after 6 days of collecting results.
“In that day you will say, ‘Praise the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. – Isaiah 12:4,” Ruto tweeted.

TNG reports that Ruto is Kenya’s incumbent vice president until he wins the election. He defeated opposition leader Raila Odinga, backed by Uhuru Kenyatta, in the Kenyan presidential election.
Announcing the election results, IEBC President Wafula Chebukati said Ruto had won the election, garnering 50.49% of the total votes cast. Odinga, on the other hand, received 48.85% of the vote.
However, the credibility of the election results has been questioned. Four IEBC commissioners led by Commission Vice-President Juliana Cherera disavowed the results, saying the tally was opaque.
