Kepa Arrizabalaga, after being replaced by Edouard Mendy late in extra time, pumped his effort 12 yards over the bar and into the Liverpool supporters to hand Jurgen Klopp’s side their ninth Cup trophy of the League.
But before retrieving the last piece of silverware, Captain and Vice-Captain Henderson and Milner showed their class.
Footage showed the duo waiting at the bottom of the steps to shake hands and hug the Chelsea players, acting incredibly gracefully in victory and earning praise from fans for their sportsmanship.
They are better than me because I would laugh at all of them, but great sportsmanship from the leaders💪

Both showed admirable leadership during their time at Liverpool and their gesture will have been appreciated by Chelsea players.
Soon after, Henderson was then able to perform his trademark trophy shuffle, winning a fifth trophy as Liverpool captain.
He won the League Cup as a player in 2012 when the side beat Cardiff on penalties and was back with that same award a decade later after another shootout win.
“[It’s] very special to win trophies for this football club no matter the competition,” Henderson told Sky Sports.
“It was a great opportunity for us today, luckily we’re on the right side. It’s always tough when it comes to penalties, but I think the guys overall deserved to win today.”
