St. Barnabas Charity Golf Open

Enjoy a fun and casual Friday of golf as St. Barnabas Charities hosts the 35th Annual Charitable Golf Open on June 10 at the Conley Resort & Golf Club in Butler. Proceeds from this annual event support the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

The Charitable Golf Open offers morning and afternoon tee options. The game format is four-player, best-of-two-ball. The lowest team score wins the tournament and the Bell Trophy. Plus, team prizes for second and third place. Golfers are eligible to win great raffle prizes, with winners drawn every half hour. Golfers and guests can also browse the silent auction and enter the 50/50 draw.

Class of 2011 reunion

The class of 2011 from Pine-Richland High School will hold their 10-year reunion (delayed due to covid) on May 28 at Narcisi Winery. The cost is $75 per person and includes a buffet dinner, drinks, cakes and more. All payments are due by May 7th. Take-out dinners

Glenshaw Century Club, Inc. will once again sponsor take-out dinners to benefit Shaler Area High School Seniors Scholarships and other local charities.

Meals are $15 each (cash or credit card) with pickup from Glenshaw Valley Presbyterian Church, 1520 Butler Plank Road, Glenshaw, 3-6:30 p.m.

Opening of free registrations at the Mega Sports Camp

Back for its ninth year, Northgate Church Mega Sports Camp is a week of free fun for kids in grades one through six. Camp dates are June 20-24, 6-8:30 p.m. at the Church, 238 West View Ave. at Ross.

Children can choose baseball, basketball, soccer, cheerleading, gymnastics, dodgeball, or art clinics.

Upbeat music, games, skits, songs and learning Bible stories are also part of the activities designed to help children discover their character traits for success in life.

Although the camp is free, registration is required. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended either online at northgatechurch.com or by calling the church office at 412-931-6016.

Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Roundtable

Michael Kraus will present “Civil War Treasures and Stories from the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall” at 7 p.m. June 20 at the Hampton Township Community Center, 1301 McCully Road, Allison Park. The conference is free and open to the public. Mandatory masks and social distancing.

East Suburban Citizen Advocacy will host 5K

East Suburban Citizen Advocacy will host its annual “Super Fun Run For Everyone 5K” on June 5 at Export. Check-in for the 5K, which serves as a fundraiser for the non-profit organization and contributes to its mission to improve the lives of people with disabilities, will be at 8 a.m. via the Westmoreland Heritage Trail access at Export , by the borough’s red caboose. The race will start at 9 a.m.

Dedication to Christian Cochran’s garden

The Christian Anthony Cochran Memorial Water Garden will be dedicated May 22 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in the Strip district, following the 11 a.m. mass.

Class of 1972 reunion

Hampton Presbyterian Church

The Hampton Presbyterian Church is hosting a car show from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on May 21. All makes and models are welcome. Feel free to bring your own tables, chairs and EZ-ups. Family entertainment, music by DJ Denny Dutko and various food kiosks.

Youth soccer camp

dinosaur day

May 20 is Dino Day at the Pine Community Center. There will be crafts, a scavenger hunt, and even an ice cream bar and cupcakes. This event takes place from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Pine Community Center for children ages 4-10. Parents and children must be registered. Cost is $12 for PCC member/Pine resident child, $16 for non-member/non-resident child, $7 for PCC member/Pine resident adult and $11 for non-member adult. members/non-residents.
