Hailey Baldwin posted a Bible verse on Instagram shortly after she and husband Justin Bieber faced backlash from Taylor Swift fans.

The 22-year-old model shared a translated verse about togetherness and getting along Monday night after a video she recorded with Bieber took to social media.

“How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! the quote read. “It’s like expensive anointing oil running down his head and beard, Running down Aaron’s beard, running down the collar of his priestly robes. It is like the dew of Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. Yes, this is where God commands blessing, commands eternal life. Psalm 133: 1-3. »

According to Us Weekly, the line is from Eugene H. Peterson’s 2002 book “The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language.”

Many believe the quote is an attempt by Baldwin to smooth things over after she and Bieber made a parody video of a clip Swift’s mother sent to “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” The clip shows the Grammy winner crying over a banana while on medication after undergoing LASIK eye surgery.

Baldwin filmed as Bieber recreated the viral moment for his Instagram Live. The move clearly rubbed Swift fans the wrong way, as their jabs ultimately elicited a response from Baldwin.

In a series of since-deleted tweets, Baldwin addressed the backlash directly.

“I didn’t know I could make someone so upset. Really, I’m so sorry you were THAT upset?!” she said (via People). “Lord have mercy, I hope I’m never so upset over someone I don’t know!!”

“Listen. I think it’s great how passionate you are and how much you ride for someone you’re a fan of, it’s wonderful how dedicated you are,” Baldwin continued. there is something i did to personally hurt or offend you i’m sorry i don’t mean to upset you in any way but to be mad at someone you don’t don’t know doesn’t do anything for you I know because I’ve been there…all it’ll do is make you miserable Don’t let ME of all people make you feel this way. I am not worth the energy, no one should be worth this energy.
