By all accounts, Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the good guys. The 27-year-old NBA superstar constantly thinks of others beyond himself and always has time for his fans.
A new video from Saturday shows exactly why Antetokounmpo is the best.
The Bucks traveled to Memphis this weekend and faced the Grizzlies. Although his team lost, the Greek Freak let his true character shine through before the game.
Leaving the team hotel, he and his teammates encountered a large crowd of basketball fans gathered outside the exit.
This is probably the case in most places Milwaukee visits, but that day Antetokounmpo had the time. Instead of huffing through the crowd and choosing not to acknowledge them – which would have been okay as he had a game to focus on – Antetokounmpo stopped to sign autographs.
In fact, rather than just signing an autograph or two, he gave his bag to a team staff member and signed autographs for the entire crowd. It was such a big moment for a young fan that he got emotional after Antetokounmpo signed his shirt.
I told this story on the air last night. Autograph seekers at the hotel in Memphis. @Giannis_An34 … leaving to take the bus to the arena, could have kept going. He stops. He holds out his bag. And signs.
It meant so much that a little boy started crying. Giannis understands. pic.twitter.com/4LlK8d8lRk

Again, Antetokounmpo wouldn’t have been reprimanded if he had just kept moving. He is a professional athlete who was on his way to a very important game. If he had just waved and got on the bus, there would have been some disappointment, but no one would have thought twice.
But he didn’t stop and signed autographs for everyone. Which guy.
