A 30-year-old man, Sebastian, was arrested last Saturday evening in Earl’s Hideaway Lounge after sending threatening text messages to his roommate.
According to the affidavit, Sebastian’s Jacob Murray sent his roommate a text message that read, “you will die and you will die tonight.”
The victim told officers Murray allegedly abused drugs and had a history of erratic and violent behavior, including destroying property.
Police found Murray at Earl’s Hideaway and attempted to arrest him for the text messages.

“When uniformed officers attempted to arrest him, he actively resisted the officers by failing his arms and legs and being combative while being handcuffed. He disobeyed multiple verbal orders to be placed under arrest,” the officer said.
When Murray was handcuffed, he continued to fight officers as they placed him in the back of the police cruiser. Then he started kicking the officers, causing minor scratches to their left and right forearms.
Murray told officers he had texted earlier, but it was about “getting kicked out of Earl’s Hideaway,” the affidavit states.
Murray was charged with written death threats, resisting arrest and assaulting a law enforcement officer. He was transported to Indian River County Jail, where he remains without bond.
