Former President Donald Trump lashed out at his political opponents in messages posted on Easter Sunday.
“Happy Easter to everyone, including the crazies on the radical left who are doing everything possible to destroy our country. May they not succeed, but may they be happy, healthy, rich and well nonetheless! Mr. Trump said in a statement via his Save America PAC.
In a separate statement, Mr Trump lashed out at New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has launched a civil investigation into the Trump Organization’s financial assessor, accused of engaging in fraudulent practices or misleading in the valuation of many of the company’s properties.
“Happy Easter to failed gubernatorial candidate and racist Attorney General Letitia James,” Trump said. “May she stay healthy despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while keeping crime, death and destruction in New York!”
Mr. Trump’s statements were reminiscent of his aggressive style of tweeting that some found humorous or endearing, but others found offensive.
His long-banned Twitter account was in the media spotlight recently, when Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist,” became a major shareholder in the platform. social media, sparking speculation that Mr. Trump’s account could be restored if Mr. Musk manages to take control of Twitter.
