Baseball announces seven-member class of 2026

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University Baseball will welcome seven freshman student-athletes as part of its class of 2026 for the 2023 season, Bill DeckerHarvard Baseball head coach Joseph J. O’Donnell ’67 announced Wednesday.

The class includes two student-athletes each from the states of Pennsylvania and California alongside one player each from Connecticut, New York and Ohio. The group balances Crimson through the diamond with a mix of infielders, outfielders and pitchers. All seven student-athletes have served as captains of their high school baseball teams.

Harvard’s Class of 2026 includes a right-handed infielder/pitcher Gio Colasante (Staten Island, NY), left-handed pitcher Brian Dowling (Avon, Connecticut), right-handed outfielder/pitcher Callan’s Fang (Yardley, PA), infielder Jordan Kang (Los Angeles, CA), infielder Justin King (Oakwood, Ohio), infielder Max lane (Newport Beach, Calif.), and right-handed pitcher/fielder Jack Smith (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).

Gio Colasante
Position: Infielder/right-handed pitcher

Brian Dowling
Position: left-handed pitcher
